Daffodils
Toddlers, 14 months to 2 years

Walking, talking, choosing. Confidence grows here.
Daffodils is one large, bright, airy room. The transition from Daisies is smooth: same quality of care, more opportunities to build confidence. Ratio 1:3. Easy access to a safe outdoor space.
Self-help skills, supported
Children are encouraged to develop self-help skills: putting on their own shoes and coat, drinking from a cup, feeding themselves. Confidence is built through patient practice with a familiar key person.

Access to resources for Physical Development, Personal/Social/Emotional Development, and Communication and Language. Lots of opportunities for the home corner, sensory area, messy area, and construction area. Story time and singing are a big part of the routine to help communication and language.

Music and dance, messy play, sensory areas, construction. Bodies and movement in focus.
